KS Tradition was released for seed production in 2025, so it's available for farmers for the first time this fall. It comes from the K-State Hays breeding program. KS Tradition is a Single Season Use variety, so it can't be saved for seed. Its biggest benefits are high yield and outstanding drought tolerance. With Joe and Bentley as parents, it looks to be a durable western Kansas wheat. KS Tradition continues the tradition of wheat excellence in Kansas!
Fun Fact: KS Tradition's unique name was conceived locally by the La Crosse FFA Chapter.
